Grasshoppers to Normandy 2024: departing Kjeller
2nd June 2024: the long road to Normandy begins from their homebase at Kjeller ENKJ, departing 0930. Half an hour later the annual air show, Flydagen, began.
This trip is to join the commemorations of the D-Day landings in Normandy on 6th June 1944, 80 years ago.

She was the best plane at her time!!! As for wings that people complain about size ... F 16 has smaller wings but "computer" helps pilot to stabilize it and also....the crashes in german air forces are due to inexperience of pilots and wrong way to use it!!! F 104 is interceptor !! Its not dogfight figter nor bomber !!

I spent several years growing up near a main USN base with P-3s during the 80s and early 90s and absolutely love those airplanes! The Orion whistle has always been comforting to me.

Flaps never came up during entire flight display... Only during parts of ground ops. Is that ''normal'' ?? Meen, somme of the passes looked like fine flying speed for ''normal'' flap configuration......

Haha I'm just the cameraman! This was the last display of the Sea King while in service with 330 Squadron Royal Norwegian Air Force, callsign SAVER. They, the crew and everyone on the ground keeping these SAVERS airworthy for over 50 years are true heroes. Saving families, making sure their father and mother can return home.
@ Big respect to them, to those making their lives at risk or aside to save otherones. They deserve peaceful retirement and a huge thank you.
F-104 can not be mistaken for any other aircraft. One of the most beautiful ever built. The quality of your footage was incredible, well done!

Thank you very much. I still look up and the words are still true. It`s taken me 2.5 years to get these first 100 hours after completing modular ATPL in October 2021. I hope to be able to fly tomorrow and soon start teaching more students, more dreamers.

My dad used to drive up the cartierville, canadair, and we'd watch the take offs and landings on test hops.
Watched this again this morning! I just love the combination of the music and her beautiful engines. The music stops at always the right time so that we can enjoy "Little Egypt's" engines. I hope Dakota Norway is teaching younger pilots to take over in the future, because she is wonderful ✈️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👌🤞🫰👏👏
